Nakon što se povezao sa tragičnim gubitkom, napaćena Nanači pridružuje se Riku i Regu na njihovom putovanju u dubine Bezdana. Decu čeka More leševa — peti sloj Bezdana i najdublji nivo sa kojeg se putnik može vratiti a da ne izgubi svoj ljudski oblik. Maskirani sadista Bondrevd stoji između dece i ostatka njihove avanture. Bondrevdova užasna laboratorija služi kao poslednja kontrolna tačka za one koji žele da pređu dublje u Bezdan, a naučnik sociopata nema želju da dozvoli Rikovoj družini da prođe bez ikakvih troškova. Duboko pogođen Bondrevdovim uticajem na njihovo detinjstvo, Nanači je zahvaćen nemirom zbog njegovog ponovnog pojavljivanja u njihovom životu. Bondrevdova jedina očigledna slabost je Pruška, drsko dete koje tvrdi da je njegova ćerka. Riko, Reg i Nanači se sprijateljuju sa Pruškom i rade sa devojkom da prevaziđu očeve mahinacije i probiju šesti sloj Bezdana.
